وَمَا
كَانَ
ٱسۡتِغۡفَارُ
إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
لِأَبِيهِ
إِلَّا
عَن
مَّوۡعِدَةٖ
وَعَدَهَآ
إِيَّاهُ
فَلَمَّا
تَبَيَّنَ
لَهُۥٓ
أَنَّهُۥ
عَدُوّٞ
لِّلَّهِ
تَبَرَّأَ
مِنۡهُۚ
إِنَّ
إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
لَأَوَّٰهٌ
حَلِيمٞ
١١٤
آمرزشخواهیِ ابراهیم براى پدرش [آزر]، جز به خاطر وعدهاى كه به او داده بود صورت نگرفت؛ اما وقتی برایش آشکار شد كه وى دشمن الله است، از او بیزارى جست [و برایش دعا نکرد]. به راستی که ابراهیم، بسى نیایشگر و بردبار بود.
